I loved this hotel - I was upgraded to the Eton Room and absolutely loved the views. The room was very spacious and clean, the bathroom gorgeous, and my absolute favourite was the massive square bathtub which overlooked the river and beyond. As this was a corner room, the floor to ceiling glass walls brought plenty of natural light int...
Good hotel in Shanghai-Pudong area
We stayed for one night during winter holiday on early Jan. Location very near to Pudong avenue station. I got room on executive floor with superb view to Shanghai city centre. Nice bed, clean bathroom, free wifi, but same like other wifi facility, I can not access our social media apps. There are ferry pier near ...
Had a great experience at this hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. All the room facilities were great. Even the health club, locker rooms, swimming pool were all very good. Only thing was the hot tub was not hot, but that seemed minor compared to how great everything else was.
Check in was little slow and English of the staff could be improved but room was very comfortable, despite showing some age. Breakfast quite good, little crowded.
Very good price/value proposition for Shanghai, location next to metro is ideal.
Good Hotel for business trips
Big rooms with a great view to the skyline. Spacious bathroom, good breakfast with a fast variety from continental tyo Chinese style. Pool, gym, bar. I didn't miss anything. Only 5 minutes to the metro (line 4) and roundabout 15 minutes to the Bund.
Nice Hotel, well located
This Hotel is very clean. The service is excellent. Located close to Pudong Metro station. Good breakfast on 3rd floor with a lot of choice. If you like drinking and party, they have a street bar very close to the hotel.
Stayed at this hotel recently with a TripADeal tour group. The hotel and facilities couldn't be faulted from our experience unlike a couple of others we stayed at. Rooms were excellent and the breakfast very comprehensive catering well for western tourists. My biggest complaint travelling China is the airconditioning which is centrally ...
This is our third time to stay at Eton. Good breakfast as always, and good facilities. Large bathtub and clean room. Friendly stuff. And it's close to Metro line 4, so you can go anywhere around Shanghai. We will always come back to Eton. Love this hotel.
Nice hospitality extended
I Mohsin mirza, A canadian citizen had been staying in Swiss grand shanghai before but since my head office is in Pudong this time for 3 days I am residing in this hotel. Our group of friends stayed 4 nights and found the hotel to be excellent, not only the cleanliness, food, and drinks but also the assistance of the staff. It is very conveniently located near the underground and very close to a walkway on the river.
Beautiful hotel with excellent service. On a arrival we asked for a room with a room and we weren’t disappointed.
Rooms were beautifully decorated with both a bath and shower.
Metro station opposite hotel which makes travel around the city very easy. Slightly further away from the sights however due to the humidity metro is the be...
I love everything about this hotel. From lobby, room, location (exactly opposite subway station) and not so far from the airport. However, some staff are not able to speak or understand english well enough and it caused me got into wrong car when I wanted to go to the airport after check out from the hotel. I told the concierge a nig...
Every time I come to Shanghai, I stay at the Eton Hotel. The staff is kind and the hotel itself is centrally located near a metro line and easy access to The Bund. If you’re looking for a hotel in a good area, stay at the Eton!
amazing river views
Pleasant hotel with amazing river views if you are a little bit smart when it comes to booking. Don’t book the absolute cheapest room - this hotel has plenty of budget tourists and they all do that. Book just one category higher, something that will cost you roughly the same as a beer - and you can score a wonderful high-floor r...
A grand place to stay
I stayed here for 3 nights on my last leg of my China trip. the room was awesome with a view of the river and city. the room was very comfortable and the bed was great. Love their pillows. A great stay
The Eton Hotel is a high quality hotel away from the centre of Shanghai but close to the airport. A choice of restaurants, gym and swimming pool. The reception staff can struggle with English. Rooms are clean and tidy.
Beautiful stunning hotel with amazing views
I visited Shanghai a few days ago and this hotel was just totally amazing!!!! The indoor pool is great, the dining area is amazing and the views from the room are breath taking! Definitely worth staying at and great value for money.
Travel to Shangahi with family
The hotel family room was really very convinient and big with a lot of space and great view!! Moreover, it is just beside the metro station, so one can reach anywhere in a very easy manner / even to PVG airport!!
The check in needed a bit of time due to pass copies and taking photos of the guests. We received the room...
Accommodating to specific breakfast needs! Really helpful when I needed cold soya milk and asked for rolled oats instead of the oatmeal they had already made
Expensive but wonderful massage at the spa
Great pool for swimming laps
Central and safe
Really good hotel-- exceeded expectations
Really exceeded expectations. Had trouble finding the hotel-- but the taxi cab driver didn't know where he was going..
I checked in at about midnight on the 15th of April. Wanted to compliment Tony on doing a great job (he was manning the desk, answering phones, really multi-tasking)-- really helped us out...
Good 5 stars hotel
This is a 5 stars hotel and it is not cheap as compare with other hotel nearby. The rooms are big and it has all the necessary amenities. The check-in and check-out is fast. There's an indoor swimming pool hence it is not a problem for bad weather outside. The only minus point I found is my bathtub is always dirty with hairs and ...
An Excellent Hotel!
Had the opportunity to stay at the Eton for a few nights. A four star rated hotel with five star qualities! The staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful! We had the opportunity to meet the General Manager who made us feel very welcome and ensured that our stay in Shanghai was pleasant and memorable!
Yearly company meeting
I have been coming here the past 3 years. My company has an office in the tower next door. We have our yearly conference here for a week with about 40 some folks from around the world. Several of us stay here which is always set up by our Shanghai office. I have always enjoyed my stay. I have been fortunate to have been put u...
The Eton hotel
Spent 9 days here very good location opposite the train station easy walk to financial district and shops room with awesome views and great room service staff couldn’t do enough to keep me happy 💯 recommend and will stay again on my return
Only 10-minute walk to heart of Shanghai financial disrict
I've stayed at this hotel the last 5-visits to Shanghai! Just a 10-minute walk to the Pu Dong World Financial Center. And usually only pay $150 per night - instead of $500+ per night at the near-in WFC hotels.
Huge Olympic indoor pool for relaxing and shaking off travel stress!
Great hotel and facilities-Upgrade if you can afford it
This hotel is pretty special, despite reviews to the contrary. We paid AUD$200/night for an upgrade which we later found came with 'executive benefits'. This included access to the 28th floor's executive room where breakfast, lunch and a light supper are served as well as happy hour drinks bet...
Great business hotel for conference
I booked a meeting room for 3 days in September to hold a business conference. The hotel management were attentive and prompt in replying to all correspondences prior to the conference. They were able to arrange the logistics as well as F&B requirements for the conference very well. If you need to bring equipment...
Trending towards “Excellent” – 4.5 out of 5 rating
We had a late check-in after attending the ERA acrobat show and other attractions following a 90 minute bus ride from Suzhou. As with our previous 4 hotels, passports were collected for check-in. The check-in process was seamless.
Review of Complex
• Modern hotel with bright and spacious lobby
Stayed there and will stay again
Stayed in many hotels in Shanghai for business purposes and with the family. Generally our family recommends to take this again and again. Rooms are spacious with a nice view to the river or Pudong skycrapers. Location is excellent, easy to go by car and metro station is close to hotel. Good river walks and easy to ...
A really nice hotel
We stayed here as part of a Sinorama tour.
This was a really good hotel. We only had 2 nights there and arrived very late on the first night, but enjoyed our stay. The carpets are all very plush and there are plenty of seating areas near the rooms, so you don't have to sit in your room.
The room and bathroom were good.
Good hotel close to metro
We booked in advance and the price is good. Location is very convenient close to metro station. Room was nice with bath tube, nice bed, spacious. I would recommend the hotel and would stay again. Breakfast ok.
Fabulous service and staff
Being a frequent user of this hotel I enjoy each of my stay at this hotel. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and you feel welcomed every time. As a frequent visitor of this hotel I have experience a great flexibility and service that fits to my needs in order to make my stay as pleasant as possible.

Lovely room with a great view
We had a room with double beds that was lovely and spacious as was the bathroom. Both were well appointed and clean. We were on the 30th floor and had a fabulous view of the skyline. Really good breakfast.
Tripadeal China trip
This was a great hotel. We stayed there with a group of Aussie travellers with Tripadeal in June 2017. Loved the closeness to the Bund, the city and anywhere else we needed to go. Breakfast was amazing, and rooms were top quality. Shanghai is a must to visit, particularly the lights of the city buildings at night.
TV in the bath
Stayed here as part of a tour group on 27th floor with great views of river and city. There is a lounge area on this floor which was nice as part of a group we could meet up.
The bathroom is huge! A full size bath with its own tv behind a large glass wall (with blinds) like a goldfish bowl. Separate shower and toilet, large comfy bed...
Fantastic hotel at an incredible price
We stayed here for a weekend away in Shanghai. It is located directly opposite Pudong Avenue station which is just two stops away from the central area of Lujiazui and the Pearl Tower. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, fresh pancakes, omelette, noodles, fruit... Rooms are modern,...
This is a nice, well maintained and clean hotel. The room was great with a partial view of the Pearl Tower and the river. The staff is eager to help even if they have hard time to understand english. The breakfast muesli was cooked with milk and they found us uncooked one from the kitchen and took the cereal bowls to the kitchen and...
Wonderful hotel very accessible
This eton hotel is nice and cozy. Interior and design are well arranged/ built . Elevator is in the middle of the hotel so basically rooms , restaurants , sports amenities are located around which is kinda unique and convenience .

Perfectly located for our usage
Stayed at their Executive Floor and we were well taken care of by the staff. The team takes our special request seriously and they go out of their way to get it like special local street breakfast. Never seen an Executive Floor Lounge serving alcohol through out the day till late night. Pampering is the word. Special...
Old School - Modern - Good location - Quality
Stayed in two visits for 8 days - in Jan 2018.
High floor - rooms comfortable and clean.
Laundry was quick and fair priced.
Negotiated a rate at desk ( after initially booking online ) - although risky as gets very high occupancy and full with a lot of Western folk.
Used pool daily - good facilities...
The room we had was amazing and what a wonderful view of Shanghai. The breakfast was great and there are a lot of things to do in the hotel. It is just outside the main part of the city and you can walk around the area.
Spacious, quiet and clean
Very convenient location as it's just opposite the subway. The bathroom comes with modern bath tub and separate shower area. Lots of local eateries and convenient stores nearby.
The Pudong river is just a block away - very lovely to walk (or jog) along the river.
A Must Stay!
The property was nice and offered a lot of amenities and dinning options onsite. They were also near good shopping malls. Great location! I was there with my friend and it was her first time in Shanghai. The hotel was close to all the tourist sites (ie. The Pearl Oriental, Nanjing Road and much more).
I would recommend that the Spa st...
A perfect 5* hotel
Stayed in thishotel last year. Booked a normal room but when arrived, I upgraded to executive room at the special floor. The room was very comfortable, very nicely decorated and spacious. The louge at the executive floor has all day dining and drinking. You can have light meals or have any drinks. Breakfast is also served at this...
EXCELLENT HOTEL OUT OF THE WAY
We travelled on a group tour that was advertised as "luxury", but very reasonably priced. I believe you generally get what you paid for, and in this tour we did not expect too high a standard due to the price!
As with all the hotels in the tour, we were extremely surprised at the quality of the accommodations. And Eto...
This hotel overlooks the river in Shanghai. It's about an hour from the International airport. The room I was allocated was on the 40th (top) floor and was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Everything necessary was provided and was in great condition. I had supper in the Eton Cafe on the 3rd floor. The spread of food in the buffet w...
Great hotel and location
Fantastic views and great rooms. Very spacious and roomy. I was on the club level which was great. They offer free breakfast, dinner (appetizers) and free liquor. Well worth getting the upgrade. Easy to get to on the subway from the airport, as the Pudong Ave station is across the street. One transfer and you are there from...

Better than last time
Better room this time. Nice view to Pudong skyscrapers. Also much better with king size bed. Room is big and well equipped. Internet is a bit bad, slow and with Chinese censorship.
Breakfast is ok, but not superb. Always same dishes and too many people. Just close to metro station line 4
