SPA HOTEL DVORESTA
We just stayed in this Hotel.
It is a Hotel in a hill, very central. The building like an old Palace is well maintained.
We were given a room in the 3th floor. All the amenities provided with Air Con, TV set and free Wi Fi. Room and bathroom are big enough.
The waters of Velingrad are superb that's why we came here.
The Outside swimming pool is big and with a lot of space to enjoy plus the Jacuzzi with very warm water. We tried the inside pool in which you can sweem
We must also mention that the hotel has a good relax center with sauna ,steam and Turkish baths.
Relax center use, Parking and breakfast included in the rate.
Breakfast I must also mention was very good with a big variety of food, fruits and local Bulgarian delicacies to choose from.
It was an enjoyable stay we shall come again
I visit Spa Hotel Dvoretsa evey year! It's the ideal place for me when I need to relax.. I enjoy luxurious vacation in reasonable prices! There' s nothing like a swim in the warm waters of the pool while gazing at the bulgarian night sky!
A great personal experience
Everything was absolutely amazing - clean room, great food, great service at reception, restaurant and bar! Two things are worth pointing out - outdoor 35 degrees pool when it's cold outside 💜 Also, it was my birthday so staff surprised me with a bottle of bubbly and some fruit 💜 All of staff were 100% helpful and kind!
This hotel offers a really relaxing andenjoyable comfort. Great location, near the town center and on a hill, surounded by forest,The best of all was the big outdoor pool with warm mineral water, it is amazing to stay in the warm water in the winter, there are outdoor jakuzzi, childrens pool and some small pools with diffrent temperature of the water. The food was great, the staff was very polite. Rooms are small, but well decorated and furnished. Ghe indoor pool is small. Great massages.
Perfect place for a romantic weekend
We had a nice and sunny december weekend. We enjoyed a lot the outdoor pools and jacuzzi. The room was one of the smallest but it was OK. The food in the restaurant was definitely very good. I'd be tempted to go back for a getaway relaxed weekend.
Great place, great service, great facilities!
Great place, great service, great Spa center and restaurant! The park around the hotel is nice! We liked both the indoor and outdoor pools a lot. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and the atmosphere too. We will definitely be back!
the best outside spa
best outside spa! cold/medium/hot pools, natural mineral water, in a fabulous garden in the snow. the rooms are quite small, but clean and luxurious. the restaurant is ok, but we prefer the tavern of the close hotel Rich - very attractive show Friday and Saturday.
Lovely hotel, perfect location with great views, very good facilities, relaxed and enjoyable stay.
The pool bar staff need to be more attentive. The Spa is located on different levels and can be a bit confusing when booking a treatment. Will definitely visit again.
I visited in mid January with my family for a spa and relax weekend. It was my first visit. The room we got was spacious (deluxe) and super warm. Several times I had to open the window to cool it down a bit, because the temperature was above 25 degrees - outside temperature was -10. There was only a thermostat and no air inlets, radiators or A/C, the heating of the room was a complete mystery to me. Bathroom had floor heating and although a professional can see some flaws in the finish, everything was very comfortable.
There was a large kids area and my 2 year old spend a decent amount of time there. There was an animator with no extra charge.
The best part of the hotel was the spa. There was a decent size inside pool, a large outside pool, all with temperature around 27 degrees, two hot jacuzzi with temperature around 37 where you can relax even in cold January. The best part was the shock area, comprised of 3 small pools - hot, warm and cold. Inside, my favorite place was the Turkish bath - a large room with heated floor and walls, and tap mineral water.
The biggest flaw in this place was the food. It was not particularly bad, but I would say average. The restaurant at a five star hotel should be I feel a bit more... fine. I am bit of a food snob, so my criteria are definitely high, but still too many deep-fried meals, average soups and desserts, although the service was good.
Definitely the best place I have been in Velingrad, so definitely coming back.
Among the top 5 in Velingrad
I have visited that place a couple of times and each time my good impressions were reaffirmed. Central location up a hill, also featuring high level of hygiene, a relaxed atmosphere, professionally prepared cousin and good choice of beverages. Rates - a bit over the normal Bulgarian standard but probably worth the demonstrated pretensions of the hotel, the management efforts and the facilities offered in this location. Still, some more way to go to reach the level of same class European hotels.
The hotel is very very good , the view is insane and the pools are incredible. The restaurant has live music and a very nice menu. The personal from the hotel is very nice. The rooms are very good and the bathroom is with a big tub.
Spa hotel Dvoretsa is a magical place surrounded by beautiful nature.
Very clean pools and SPA facilities. Friendly staff, that made our vacation very special.
Everything was splendid, the only problem was the room, without air-condition and very small bathroom for 5* hotel.
We can recommend and will definitely visit again.
The best in Bulgaria!
What can i say, this is one of the best hotels I've ever visited in Bulgaria. The city of Velingrad is amazing on its own, so many places to visit around and in town. And the hotel is just outstanding, the staff is really nice and the base of the hotel is one of the best you can get. They are really focused on SPA services and you'll find some amazing SPA treatments that you cannot get anywhere else. Rooms are clean and tidy, big enough for an amazing experience. The restaurant serves fresh and delicious food on amazing prices. You have many tourist attractions near the hotel, both historical and nature ones. I've been to the hotel more than 5 times and each time, it's an amazing experience and i leave refreshed and wanting more! We recently celebrated a wedding in the hotel and the setup was just breathtaking! Best time of our lives, literally. I would definitely recommend the hotel for anything - SPA, tourism, couples, family, business... Anything you want - they have it!
A Palace! Palace is the english translation of "Dvoretse".
Fantastic hotel in a beautiful area. Mineral water pools are clean. Surrounding gardens are beautiful and in and outdoor balcony restaurant is excellent though the staff struggle to speak and understand English. The Dvoretse Spa Hotel is frequented mainly by Russians and Bulgarians who are very friendly. We wished we could stay longer and will definitely return. The staff were keen to help and were welcoming. The area outside the hotel is interesting and very pretty in parts. Lots of stray dogs in the area though - the only drawback. They are not in packs though and are not aggressive.
It was great
It was really great I realize it now while I'm writing this review. There is spa, very good restaurant. There was a spectacular spectacle on the third of march. There was a multiculturical crash between East and West, and Bulgaria was between them.
All our expectations were met!
Clean and warm rooms, nice spa and pool, children's club lady was very friendly, the food in the restaurant was delicious and at good price, staff was polite. We had no balcony in the room but probably because it was for non-smokers:)
We stayed one night at the end of September. Unfortunately, we had bad weather - cold & rainy. We still made good use of the indoor spa and outdoor jacuzzi - if the weather had been nice, it would have been amazing!. The setting is beautiful; in the middle of the woods on top of a hill looking down at the city of Velingrad. We had a sky view room which overlooked the pool, jacuzzi & the city. It was quite small, however, you didn't want to stay in the room anyway. Their spa treatments are excellent and extremely well-priced. You could get two lengthy treatments for the price of one treatment in the USA. We paid 50 lev for 50 minutes and 75 lev for 70 minutes. The hot stone massage was the best I've ever had. The hotel staff were okay, but the spa staff were very very friendly and helpful even though they didn't speak much english. Breakfast buffets in Bulgaria are usually not good so we did not expect much from this place. We stayed at 5 hotels in Bulgaria with different star ratings and you'll never get an American breakfast. At the Dvoretsa, there was some hot food - eggs & sausage - cooked poorly. We had room service which was also below par. But we came for the spa and we are not disappointed. I would come here again!
Cozy rooms, Spa and Pool is great, very good food.
Very good food and service. The rooms are with clean and with new furniture, not very spacious, but enough to feel good. The breakfast offers s big variety of foods, backed goods and fruits, The pools are big and clean and if you are staying during the work days, you may enjoy them alone :). The pool is surrounded with forest, so the experience is amazing, Next to the hotel there is a small park and the hotel is 1 km from the center of the city. Above the average for bugarian service, so you will be satisfied :)
Truly Rejuvenating Experience
We stayed at Dvoretsa for a week with our 3 year old son and we just couldn't be happier with the choice of accommodations we made.
We stayed at one of the 2 bedroom apartments which was quite spacious, very clean and had everything we really needed.
The real selling point of this hotel for us were the outdoor pools and the location.
The kiddie pool with a slide was such hit with our 3 year old and we loved the hidden hot springs with different temperatures.
The location of this hotel just couldn't be better - it is next to a century old pine tree park. Going for a walk and enjoying the crisp air in the mornings is something that really started our days right!
The food at the main restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced and the service was impeccable. We went out of the hotel twice and quickly realized that the restaurant at the hotel was much better than anything offered in the area.
I would highly recommend this hotel for families with kids of all ages. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!
Good spa in historical environment
Spa hotel Dvoretsa is located in the forest hill with spectacular views around. Hotel itself gives a glimpse to old Soviet Union. Colossal building with big hallways are very soviet like. Rooms are very stylish are well equipped. Bonus was that we had two rooms next to each other and we got the door opened between them. External pool is huge and there are also three dipping pools: very hot, hot and cold. Hotel has also internal pools are great variety of treatments which are quite affordable. Restaurant style is straight from 80's Moscow. Food is good and here the staff has quite good language skills.
If you are in Bulgaria this is the must place to be!
Beautiful summer vacation!
The rooms are quite specious and clean, we had a double deluxe room, (2 adults and 2 kids) lot’s of space to move around, bathroom could be upgraded but it’s ok, water pressure its a bit of an issue, we were on the fourth floor and I think this was the problem. We stayed over for Christmas and we had a room on the second floor and we had no issue regarding this, so if you like a nice strong shower pick a room in the first or second floor. A minus is that there is no air condition, we didn’t have a problem since the evenings were fresh and we fix this by leaving the windows open and room was fresh.
Restaurant and services are ok, no 5 stars thou. The breakfast was ok, during the week some days was a bit shy of choices, during the weekend you will find more things to eat and fresh crepe. Lunches are ok as well, you will find something to eat but the “lunch menu” is basically always the same with some different main dishes”. Can’t say about the dinner menù, we always ate out.
Outside activities are nice, outside pool its big, we stayed long time submerged in this mineral hot spring water and it was amazing. Believe it or not we felt regenerated, my father has lot’s of cramps (legs and hands), he didn’t have none during out stay! There are 3 little pools one next to the to the other, one is 34C, the second it’s around 40C and the middle one it’s cold water about 18C/20C, I enjoyed stay on the 40C pool and then plunge in the 20C … kind of a sauna effect on your body, very cool and healthy!
Our kids had fun as well, nice pool for them with slopes, enjoyed the warm water. Kids center available.
I recommend this structure, it’s not a 5 stars hotel if you are used to a Mariott, Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton, etc ... but definitely you can enjoy a beautiful summer or winter vacation.
Recommend despite some improvement points
Very nice hotel overall. Clean and warm pools, good food and good location. Definitely will be visiting again. It does not get a full rating from me because of 1)bad internet connection I the rooms 2)AC in the room wasn’t cooling down the room enough (I don’t know if it is centrally managed or just the thermostat in the room didn’t work properly) and 3)electric bikes being rented out by the hotel were not well maintained (the breaks did not work well). Big applause, however, to the friendly and helpful staff.
Nice hotel, but really hot in the rooms
Nice outdoor and indoor pools, beautiful nature, reasonable prices. Everything was really OK with our stay, except for the heat in the room - we were there in the first days of may and it was super hot. As far as I understood there was no way to regulate the room temperature and I really can't imagine the summer days there ...
Gate away in nice hotel
We travelled there this year and all was great, the only thing they did advertise and the reason we booked was , air conditioned room with complimentary WiFi, both of these were not true , reception stuff were ok , but the restaurant stuff were very rude, no one came to take our order and anything you wanted you had to get up of your table and look for waiting stuff , who were too busy chatting
However, after few complaints we were moved to a better room with wifi and air con. Great pools and park around, but will not return
The best of the best in Velingrad
I have been visiting this hotel for about ten years or more and I may say it is definitely worth visiting. Sadly I would say that before some years ago the hotel was amazing and everything was on a pretty high level, but now the breakfast is pretty basic to be honest. Maybe the hotel is under new management, don't know, but it haven't the same feeling as three or four years ago. Still I think this is a great hotel especially for the summer. Starting off with the hotel building itself, which has its socialistic and retro look. The outside pools are pretty nice and there are some attractions for the kids, which is amazing. I've been in every room type and I am really pleased with the most of them, but the ones on the last floor, which are pretty small, but still cozy. The confectionery is also really great giving you that cozy and fancy feeling, which I enjoy every single year. This place is my favorite to visit and I think it's definitely worth the pay.
Beautiful surroundings with amazing pools!
The hotel itself is interesting, the breakfast is relatively good for Bulgaria, although the coffee is terrible))). The rooms are clean, but small, in order to sleep well must tale junior suite, because the rooms are very small. The pool is awesome! Great for kids ! The water is warm and nice. Loved the three outdoor pools with different temperatures. Great place for the weekend!
Good one for the kids
All mineral water and a separated pools for the kids including a lifeguard. Amenities, especially the pools are pretty nice but this is not your usual 5 stars. However, the price is fair if you're just looking for a relaxing mineral pool experience with your kids.
Impressions Hotel Dvoretsa
Dvoretsa SPA hotel is situated in the center of Velingrad, in а beautiful pine tree parks. Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Velingrad the hotel offers a breathtaking view over the mountains, the mineral swimming pools and the town.
A Good 5 star Hotel in the Spa Capital of the Balkans
We had stayed in this Hotel years ago and we tried it again this summer. It is a Hotel in a hill, very central. The building like an old Palace is well maintained. Management has built an extra floor in the attic but rooms in this area are much smaller than in the other floors.
We were given a room in the 5th floor. All the amenities provided with Air Con, TV set and free Wi Fi. Room and bathroom as I said before is quite small this is not the right size of a 5 star room. We did not complain really staying for one night. The waters of Velingrad are superb that's why we came here. The Outside swimming pool is big and with a lot of space to enjoy plus the Jacuzzi with very warm water. We tried the inside pool because was raining, a small one and overcrowded with children. I must also mention that the hotel has a good relax center with sauna ,steam and Turkish baths but we could not relax there because they allow children in this area and there was a lot of noise.I am sure that relax center is for adults and for people over 18 years old.Management must do something about this really. Relax center use, Parking and breakfast included in the rate. The rate for this room we were given we thought was high(for Bulgarian standards) so we asked for a discount but our request was declined. Breakfast I must also mention was very good with a big variety of food, fruits and local Bulgarian delicacies to choose from.
It was an enjoyable stay although I think management must consider are points.
